Background

I was born in Whitehorse, Yukon, then moved down to Vancouver for a short time while my parents found another house in the small city of Nelson B.C. we stayed at that house for only like six months or something before moving just outside of Nelson to the community of Bonnington where I live now.

trip to the Columbian Ice Fields

I went through elementary school and high school all in the Slocan valley and then jumped right out of high school to go into college for Multimedia Production and Design graduating from that in April of 2006. Now I am in the midst of looking for work, doing some photography for my own entertainment, writing a movie and trying to get the most out of life.- Hayden O'Brien

Interests

Well I would say my favorite thing at the moment is movies, I love making movies, watching movies, analyzing movies and so on. I got in a bit of a low spot in my movie making when I finished my most recent shot film “Written in Blood” just because it was really rushed and I was hoping for much more to come out with. I think my next short movie will be from a different genre of movie, all my movies have been a bit darker and more violent which lots of older people don’t seem to like. I think a new movie genre will be a good challenge for me because I really like the darker more violent movies and this will give me a chance to broaden my horizons. Also I’m hoping to start into a new field of photography, I’ve just purchased a new camera and am in the midst of getting a photo gallery up and running.
Other than the technological part of my interests I guess I have really been into soccer my whole life, playing in the Nelson soccer league for around twelve years, and have been trying to get back into it now that school is over. I’ve also been trying to get out and play some more basketball now that I have a court quite close to my house.
In the winter I like to go up to the ski hill and grab some runs snowboarding, or take my cheap snowboard out behind my house and go down our property. I really love to go swimming, hiking, camping and the best is when you can do them all together. I’ve been really wanting to get out there into the woods and do some hiking and camping ever since I did a short hike not to long ago.
There is a lot more that I’m interested in but that’s the general interests.

Personal

How to get personal but not too personal?
Well I have a great girlfriend that I’ve been with for about three months now, we haven’t been together for very long but we have done so much together and love many of the same things, we have many more plans for things to do together in the future and nothing but time to do them.
I still live at home with my parents, you may laugh now but when I can tell you that I don’t pay rent and I’ll be rich and famous one day and buy my own house on the ocean. Other than that the only other personal stuff about me is I’m a very hard working, I hate leaving a job unfinished, I love animals (except those ugly little dogs that everyone has), I have a great sense of humor, and I’m broke.
